K-FACTOR PROGRAMME PROJECT ENGINEER
Reporting to the Project Manager, K-Factor Programme, the incumbent is responsible for monitoring the execution of the assigned K-Factor Projects and their compliance with the regulatory requirement of the K-Factor Programme.
KEY Responsibilities Include:
- Reviewing baseline performance information for each K-Factor funded project and the expected benefits, and using this data to prepare a monitoring regime for project execution and determining an approach for collecting adequate information for post-project evaluations.
- Monitoring the execution of each assigned K-Factor funded project, including the level of compliance with regulatory requirements under the K-Factor Programme.
- Maintaining accurate records on the performance and execution of each project.
- Interacting regularly with respective project managers, inspecting project documents, and attending project meetings.
- Preparing regular reports on project progress against targets, highlighting issues encountered and actions taken, for submission of the Project Manager, K-Factor Programme and for reporting to the Office of Utility Regulation.
- Collating lessons learnt and collecting data to support the preparation of project completion reports and post-project evaluations.
- Assisting, as directed by the Project Manager, K-Factor Programme, with the planning and development of small-scale activities that are required to obtain baseline data necessary for meaningful post-project evaluations.
- Assisting with the preparation of project completion reports and post-project evaluations from the perspective of the Project Management Unit.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in either Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial or Civil Engineering.
- A minimum of four (4) years working experience on water supply or sewerage projects.
- Strong understanding of project management and contract administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (including Microsoft Project).
- Ability to communicate well both orally and in writing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
