GCG Ground Services (Jamaica) Ltd., a subsidiary of Goddard Enterprises Limited (GEL), is a member of the GCG Group which operates in 21 countries in the USA, the Caribbean, Central and South America, is seeking to recruit a passionate, skilled and highly motivated individual to join the team at Norman Manley International Airport in the role of Station Coordinator.
JOB OVERVIEW
As the Station Coordinator within our Operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the Company and airline procedures and practices are followed. You will assist the Operations Manager by providing daily professional and exceptional service to all our Clients and to maintain standard operation procedures. You will also ensure that the Company and airline procedures are followed efficiently and effectively both above and below the wing.
The successful candidate should have:
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills.
- Must be deadline driven with good time management skills.
- A high level of confidentiality, reliability and responsibility is necessary.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and a high level of attention to detail.
- Exposure to heat, noise, dust and aircraft engine noise when required to be on the ramp.
- Required to stand for long periods while carrying out duties.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. in weight.
NATURE AND SCOPE OF FUNCTIONS
- Oversee daily duty rosters to ensure that adequate manpower is assigned above and below the wing to facilitate on time departures.
- Prepare a monthly staff roster and manpower plan.
- To provide effective and professional supervision of both the Passenger Service & Ramp Departments.
- Ensuring that both above and below the wing are prepared for audits and are fully complaint with airline procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- University Degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management or equivalent.
- High School diploma/five (5) CXC passes minimum level 3 pass or equivalent (English and Mathematics/Accounts are required)
- Should be computer literate.
- A minimum of five (5) years working experience in the Airline, Passenger Service, Ramp Operations or Transportation Industry.
- Supervisory Management Certification.
- Working knowledge of Airport Rules and Regulations.
- Ability to organize, motivate and lead an effective workforce.
- Excellent customer service skills and well-developed interpersonal skills.
