Pioneer Chocolate Company Limited, located in Manchester, Jamaica, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with a strong specialization in Electrical Systems to join their team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in maintaining industrial equipment, diagnosing faults, and ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial equipment.

• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.

• Ensure all work complies with national electrical codes and safety regulations.

• Carry out mechanical tasks such as changing bearings, adjusting/replacing belts, and lubricating machines.

• Work with 3-phase current, starters, and isolators.

• Participate in day-to-day mechanical operations alongside the maintenance team.

• Use hand tools and specialized equipment safely and efficiently.

• Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and crawling into confined spaces.

• Manage projects independently and make informed maintenance decisions.

• Work overtime as required, which may include weekdays and Saturdays.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment.

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.

• Familiarity with mechanical systems and willingness to perform related tasks.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
