EveryData Jamaica is seeking qualified applicants for the role of Business Development Representative to join our team. The position is responsible for expanding the company’s footprint within the financial and non-financial sectors, driving revenue growth, and ensuring client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
1. Business Development and Sales
- Identify and target new business opportunities across financial institutions, utilities, and other data-driven sectors.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations to potential clients.
- Manage the end-to-end sales process; prospecting, proposal development, negotiation, contracting, and onboarding.
- Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Conduct regular visits and service calls to existing subscribers to promote new features, ensure satisfaction, and identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Maintain accurate sales pipelines and activity logs in the company’s CRM.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry conferences, and outreach events.
2. Client Onboarding and Support
- Guide clients through application, contracting, and onboarding processes in collaboration with IT and Operations.
- Conduct client training sessions on system use, credit reporting procedures, and dispute management.
- Serve as the liaison between clients and internal departments to resolve queries, escalations, and disputes efficiently.
- Support the management of subscriber documentation, contracts, and account details.
3. Market Research and Strategy
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes affecting credit reporting and data sharing.
- Produce market intelligence reports and recommend strategic adjustments to maintain competitiveness.
- Participate in planning and executing marketing or awareness campaigns in coordination with the Marketing and Communications team.
4. Reporting and Compliance
- Prepare performance and pipeline reports for executive review.
- Ensure all sales activities, proposals, and client communications comply with the company’s policies, credit reporting legislation, and data-protection standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of business processes, documentation, and customer experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a sales, account management, or business development; preferably within financial services, fintech, or technology sectors.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong knowledge of credit reporting frameworks, financial regulations, and data-sharing practices in the Caribbean.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and CRM platforms (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce)
