Manager, Finance & Operations
The successful incumbent will be responsible for the planning, organizing, directing and coordinating of the company’s Finance and Operations Services unit in line with approved policies and procedures and will provide effective support to the General Manager towards achieving the company’s goals and objectives as directed by the Board of Directors.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the planning, organizing, directing and coordinating of the company’s Finance department in line with approved policies and procedures.
- Responsible for the timely preparation and delivery of the financial statements for the company and other related entities.
- Responsible for the management and filing of regulatory documents.
- The incumbent will provide effective support to the General Manager towards achieving the company’s goals and objectives as directed by the Board of Directors.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounts, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent.
- ACCA level III would be an asset.
- Sound problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
- Well-developed skills in spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software applications.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Good human relations and social skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to plan and organize effectively.
SPECIALIZED TECHNIQUES/KNOWLEDGE:
- Accounting and audit Knowledge.
- Knowledge of investment, portfolio management, trust services and risk management.
- Knowledge of relevant securities and trust laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of the company’s application software, Opics.
- Good project management skills.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- At least five (5) years relevant working experience in the financial services industry or auditing.
- Experience with accounting software.
- An established track record in the delivery of superior levels of customer service
