Job Summary

The Warehouse Technician is responsible for the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of goods at the company facility. This role involves unpacking and securing incoming goods, maintaining accurate inventory records using handheld devices, and ensuring timely and correct order fulfillment. The Technician will assist in loading delivery vehicles, perform stock rotation, and support inventory checks in refrigerated areas. Safe operation of forklifts and occasional delivery assistance are also key aspects of the role.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of warehouse experience, including order picking, and possess strong organizational and communication skills. A valid Forklift Licence and familiarity with inventory tracking devices and Microsoft Office are considered assets. The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Unpack goods received at the company facility and secure in the warehouse in accordance with Warehouse Goods Placement practices.
2. Advise Senior Warehouse Technician/ Warehouse Manager of palette location so as to be able to track the placement of goods in the automated inventory system.
3. Use the handheld device for processing.
4. Ensure that the correct goods are pulled from the warehouse as per invoice.
5. Assist with the loading of delivery vehicles.
6. Perform inventory of goods in the refrigerated warehouse.
7. To ensure timely and effective stock rotation.
8. To operate the forklifts in a safe manner.
9. Assisting with deliveries where necessary.
10. Any other related duties as may be assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Five (5) CSEC Passes of grade III and above.
• A Minimum of two years’ (2) experience in warehouse duties particularly the picking of goods.
• A valid Forklift License will be an asset.
• Competence in the use of Microsoft Office will be considered an asset
• A valid Heavy-T License will be considered an asset.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• The ability to use a panner tracker device will be an asset.

Terms & Conditions:

• Base rate of Pay: $31.00 per hour
• Hours of work: Monday – Friday 6am-3pm with one hour lunch.
• Location: Arima
• Terms: full-time.
• Overtime and weekend work maybe be required.
