A well-established manufacturing company is seeking an efficient and detail-oriented Human Resource Officer to join its team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a compliant, efficient, and people-centered workplace through effective HR policies, employee relations, and training initiatives.
Enforce company and HR policies, as well as the disciplinary code, among all staff.
Develop and update HR policies and procedures as needed.
Screen, recruit, and coordinate the orientation and onboarding of new employees.
Deliver HR-related training to employees and supervisory teams, including topics such as HR compliance and performance reviews.
Maintain accurate employee records, including attendance, punctuality, and leave.
Address workplace concerns, mediate conflicts, and support employee relations.
Conduct disciplinary hearings, suspensions, and terminations in accordance with company policy and Jamaican labour laws.
Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and labour regulations, particularly those relevant to food manufacturing operations.
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management or a related field.
Proven experience in an HR Officer or similar role.
Strong knowledge of Jamaican labour laws and HR best practices.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
