Job Purpose
The Operations Supervisor – Logistics is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the movement of goods, equipment, and personnel to ensure efficient catering and hospitality operations across offsite and offshore locations. This role involves close collaboration with the production, procurement, commercial, and operational teams to guarantee timely deliveries, smooth daily operations, and adherence to company standards. The successful candidate will support both logistical and commercial functions, provide supervisory oversight to offsite staff, and help drive operational efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics
• Review goods requisitions from offsite locations to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Liaise with department managers on inventory and non-inventory outages and shortages, ensuring goods are dispatched within established timelines and protocols
• Engage daily with offsite supervisors to ensure the seamless execution of catering and hospitality operations
• Oversee the timely receipt and delivery of goods and materials to offsite facilities
• Capture and provide real-time feedback to the Procurement Department on any logistical issues or delays
• Ensure all employees have the necessary tools, uniforms, and PPE to carry out their duties effectively
Commercial
• Collaborate with the Commercial Officer to transform operational data into actionable insights, including personnel, pricing, cost, and consumption analysis
• Assist with the preparation of invoices and supporting documentation
• Conduct routine visits to offshore and offsite locations to monitor service delivery and gather operational feedback
• Solicit feedback from employees, supervisors, and clients, reporting findings to the Department Manager and implementing corrective actions as needed
• Support the preparation of business proposals and operational plans
Supervisory and Administrative
• Ensure employee compliance with HACCP, HSSE, and GCG policies and standards
• Roster offsite staff to support daily operations efficiently
• Compile, analyse, and complete payroll for assigned teams
• Assist in identifying and maintaining operational efficiencies across labour, food, and services
• Provide administrative support to other departments as needed, including accountability for distribution of uniforms, PPE, and equipment
• Comply with all HSSE, HACCP, Food Safety, and Hygiene rules and regulations
Qualifications and Skills
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Logistics or Supply Chain
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a logistics, customer service, or hospitality environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is required; SAP experience will be considered an asset
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, communication, and organisational skills
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Must be able to work on a shift system, including weekends and public holidays
• Willingness to travel domestically and offshore as required
