Main Purpose of Job:
The Systems Administrator oversees the Group’s servers, networks, operating systems, databases, and software applications to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security of the ICT systems. He/she will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, ensuring data security and integrity, performing backups and disaster recovery, and providing user technical support.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer servers and systems to ensure system integrity
- Monitor and perform routine backup and recovery procedures for physical and virtual infrastructure.
- Install and configure required hardware, software, and other necessary technology tools.
- Troubleshoot system issues and communication outages as and when required.
- Build and maintain technical documentation, manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ICT policies.
- Evaluate recommended purchases for hardware, software, and other technology solutions.
- Facilitate access requests, ensuring security and compliance.
- Manage Active Directory user administration for on-premise and cloud-based systems.
- Resolve helpdesk tickets efficiently and effectively.
- Deliver on network/communications/security related projects.
- Coordinate the troubleshooting and the support calls with external providers
- Perform root cause analysis of complex server system problems and provide corrective actions
- Work through alerts raised by alert software for proactive fixing
- Execute duties in accordance with ITIL framework guidelines Log calls with external providers where and when necessary

Required Qualifications/Experience/Competencies/Attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) would be considered as an asset.
- 3-5 years of experience in ICT systems administration or similar role.
- Strong understanding of server and/or network system performance monitoring and maintenance.
- Excellent business continuity and disaster recovery methodologies and practice.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for system and communication issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills or
- Any equivalent combination of qualifications and experience
