Position: Chief Steward Location: Royalton CHIC Antigua – Royalton Resorts & Spa
About the Role: Royalton CHIC Antigua is seeking a dedicated and experienced Chief Steward to lead and manage all stewarding operations. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with hotel standards, maintain hygiene and safety protocols, oversee kitchen equipment, and train the stewarding team to support outstanding culinary service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and oversee all stewarding operations to ensure adherence to established SOPs and service standards.
Monitor inventory levels, conduct monthly and quarterly inventories, and determine optimal stock levels for efficient operations.
Verify correct execution of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and ensure customer needs are met.
Enforce hygienic handling of food, beverages, and equipment in compliance with hotel standards.
Manage cleaning and maintenance schedules for kitchen equipment to ensure functionality.
Track and address operational equipment breakages and losses.
Train supervisors and stewards on the proper use of equipment and chemicals, and implement ongoing training programs to maintain team performance.
Participate in regular meetings and collaborate with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to align on operational goals.
Ensure compliance with all corporate administrative documentation and hygiene audit standards.
Support health and safety initiatives and participate in the Blue Diamond Resorts ESG Program.
Uphold the hotel’s standards for personal presentation, service values, and overall professionalism.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Proven experience in a senior stewarding or back-of-house supervisory role in hospitality.
Strong knowledge of hygiene and safety standards in food and beverage operations.
Effective leadership, communication, and team training skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and inventory management abilities.
Flexible, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced resort environment.
