Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of accounting principles, experience with financial reporting, and a passion for ensuring the financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Revenue Recognition.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.
- Handle the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll and statutory deductions (e.g., NIS, NHT, Education Tax).
- Prepare and file monthly GCT returns and other tax-related documents.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and all relevant financial regulations.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- ACCA certification or being in the advanced stages of the program is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 3-4 years of proven experience in an accounting role.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Sage).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
