FINANCE MANAGER
The incumbent oversee the company’s financial operations and reporting, ensuring robust financial planning, accurate and timely reporting, and full compliance with international accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for managing income and expenditure, safeguarding company assets, and delivering strategic financial insights to support sustainable business growth.
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Prepare timely and accurate financial and management reporting statements in compliance with acceptable management, auditing and regulatory standards
- Coordinate and execute all Internal and External Audit requirements.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes and reporting.
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Track and correctly allocate income, service charges, maintenance fees, and other revenue streams.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely collection of rents and payments to suppliers.
- Implement strong internal controls to protect company and client funds.
- Monitor bank reconciliations and manage relationships with financial institutions.
- Ensure statutory filings and tax obligations (GCT, Income Tax, Payroll Taxes, etc.) are accurate and up to date.
- Maintain compliance with lease agreements, management contracts, and regulatory guidelines.
- Advise management on financial risks, opportunities, and investment decisions.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring professional growth and efficiency.
- Support executive management in strategic planning and decision-making
POSITION SPECIFICATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Preferred: Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, or ACCA/CPA designation
- Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in financial management and reporting
- Working experience in a real estate or property management environment is an asset but not a requirement
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax laws and regulatory requirements
- Proven experience in budgeting, financial analysis and cash flow management
- Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with modeling
- Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders (owners, tenants, vendors, regulators).
