Nature & Scope: | The Human Resources Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and carrying out all phases of Human Resources Management at CTL. The individual will provide leadership and direction by ensuring all employees adhere to all CTL policies and procedures along with the territory’s employment laws, expertise in recruitment, employee recognition and development, payroll procedures, coaching, mentoring, and attendance. |
Major Responsibilities, Tasks and Duties: | - Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
- Provides expertise in Employee Relations and Human Resources Compliance.
- Provides leadership to the rest of Human Resources team; holds weekly department meetings.
- Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positions.
- Prepares employee termination notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews.
- Understands, interprets, and administers company policies and procedures.
- Supports associate managers in managing employee issues (conflicts, conducting investigations and reaching appropriate resolutions)
- Assists employees to address various issues or concerns, fairly representing all parties.
- Establishes and promotes programs that provide a safe workplace.
- Leads and directs employee training and development efforts.
- Analyzes wages and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plan.
- Administers benefits programs such as life, health and dental insurance, pension plans.
- Investigates incidents and accidents and prepares reports.
- Overseas team building exercises and incentives.
- Prepares monthly and annual reports as well as departmental budgets.
- Oversees performance appraisal and evaluation exercises.

Minimum Requirements: | - Bachelor’s degree in business management, or the equivalent
- At least five (5) years’ experience in related field; staff count over 50.

Person Specifications: | - Knowledge of computerized HRIS Systems
- Knowledge of HR Best practice in accordance with BVI Labour Code.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Exceptional customer service, organizational, and time management skills.
- Excellent oral, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
