Pharmacy Technician
Location: Chaguanas/Central
Position Summary
You will support our Store Operations and primary Pharmacist's relief efforts and take operational responsibility for the dispensary and retail floor during your shift. You will model professional excellence by "leading from the front," ensuring every customer experience represents our very best and that regulatory duties are executed with precision.
Key Responsibilities
Dispensary Operations
- Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently using our computerized system
- Check drug interactions, dosage calculations, and inventory levels; escalate clinical concerns to the supervising pharmacist as needed
- Maintain meticulous records in accordance with Pharmacy Board regulations
Shift Leadership
- Take ownership of store operations during shifts, directing 1-3 retail team members
- Set clear expectations, delegate tasks, and hold colleagues accountable for high-standard work
- Provide in-the-moment coaching, deliver constructive feedback, and celebrate team wins
Customer Experience
- Work backwards from customer needs—listen actively, advise thoughtfully, and solve problems with empathy
- Deliver exceptional service that feels personal, warm, and efficient
- Resolve issues promptly while maintaining our positive workplace culture
Continuous Improvement
- Identify process gaps, suggest solutions, and help implement improvements
- Ensure shelves are properly faced, stock rotated (FEFO), and expiry logs are current
- Contribute ideas to increase basket size and enhance service quality
Store Operations
Some of the Store Operations include:
- Cash out customers when retail staff are busy with other customers
- Ensure and assist that shelf operations are maintained and held at a high standard
- Ensure inventory is properly stocked on shelves rather than remaining in back stock
- Ensure, direct and assist that the store presentation is clean and well maintained
- Ensure proper audits of junior staff regarding their core duties
Compliance & Safety
- Follow all legal, ethical, and company standards for controlled substances, privacy, and workplace safety
- Model respect and professionalism in all interactions
Required Qualifications
- Pharmacy Technician Experience: Minimum 2 years in a pharmacy setting
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with computers, and Microsoft 365/Google Workspace
- Attention to Detail: Methodical, precise approach with ability to follow processes flawlessly
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Interpersonal Skills: Natural ability to make customers feel valued and welcomed
- Schedule Flexibility: Availability for rotating shifts and alternate weekends
- Punctual: High standard for punctuality and presence
- Weekends: MUST be able to work on Weekends

- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation

Salary starts at around $31 an hour plus incentives
