Overview:
Eye Q Optical is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy IT Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide technical support across multiple Eye Q Optical locations, ensuring seamless operation of hardware, software, and network systems to support our daily operations.
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver day-to-day technical support for computer systems, software, hardware, and network devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues such as system failures, network disruptions, and software errors.
- Install and configure new hardware and software, ensuring integration with existing systems.
- Monitor and maintain network security, identifying and addressing vulnerabilities.
- Manage IT asset inventory and oversee software licenses.
- Set up and configure workstations, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Provide on-site support to various practice locations as needed.
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to maintain and enhance systems.
- Optimize system performance and uptime through proactive monitoring.
- Ensure IT systems comply with company policies and industry standards.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Proven experience in IT Support or a similar role, with expertise in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Strong understanding of computer systems, network management, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency with Windows and Mac OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and common software applications.
- Familiarity with networking protocols, routers, firewalls, and best practices in network security.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members.
- Strong multitasking and task prioritization abilities.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent are an advantage.
- A degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
