SMS is looking for a talented Business Analyst to join our winning Software Division! Reporting to The Head of Project Management Consultancy. The Business Analyst will be required to provide a full range of consulting services to our clients that may include but are not limited to the following services:

What you’ll do:

1. Collaborate with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements

2. Define the vision for the team’s product and maintain a cohesive vision throughout the process of development

3. Create a product road map based on the presented vision

4. Manage the product backlog and prioritize the tasks based on changing requirements

5. Oversee all stages of product creation, including design and development

6. Monitor and evaluate product progress at each stage of the process

7. Work with the product team and end-users to deliver updates and status reports

8. Participate in Scrum meetings and product sprints

AUTHORITY/ACCOUNTABILITY:

1. Monitor all contracts/agreements relating to projects, ensuring compliance.

2. Undertake the post implementation evaluation of projects

3. Review implementation plans

4. Monitor project performance and provide feedback/intervention requests to the product development team and other stakeholders to ensure timely intervention

PERFORMANCE CRITERIA:

1. Projects delivered within scope

2. Projects delivered on time

3. Projects completed within budget

4. Timely completion of other ad hoc requests

EFFORT PHYSICAL:

Travel to local/overseas clients

ANALYTICAL:

1. Project financial planning

2. Interpretation and analysis of data

3. Problem solving

4. Compilation of high level technical and planning reports

WORKING CONDITIONS:

1. Hybrid office environment - 40% office, 60% remote – subject to change as required

2. May be required to work beyond normal business hours to meet deadlines

NATURE OF SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Executive oversight

SUPERVISION GIVEN TO:

Assigned Product team members (Internal and External)

What we’re looking for:

•Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.

•1–2 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the ICT/technology industry.

•Strong understanding of business processes, data modeling, and workflow modeling.with     business modeling and visualization tools.

•Experience with IT project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).

•Familiarity with user interface design concepts and testing strategies.

•Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

•Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
