We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental & Conservation Manager to lead our environmental, health, and safety initiatives across the Club and Villas. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in environmental management, conservation practices, and regulatory compliance who thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
General Purpose
The Environmental & Conservation Manager will be responsible for coordinating and implementing the Club’s and Villas’ environmental, safety/risk, and conservation management policies and procedures. The position focuses on utilities conservation, environmental health and safety, recycling, sustainability, risk management, and community integration.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Club’s Environmental Management System (EMS).
Maintain EMS documentation, records, manuals, and procedures to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Conduct internal audits to ensure proper functioning of the EMS and identify opportunities for improvement.
Chair the Environment, Health & Safety Committees and host bi-weekly meetings to track progress on goals.
Coordinate and monitor the Club’s Green Globe certification program, Conservation Committee, and Recycling Program.
Work with the Director of Engineering and contractors to ensure compliance with government safety standards and regulations.
Develop and deliver safety training, handouts, and presentations for staff and concessionaires.
Assist in the investigation of incidents and recommend corrective actions.
Oversee daily collection and reporting of utilities data.
Ensure readiness for emergencies such as hurricanes and earthquakes.
Prepare for and support external inspections (e.g., TPDCo, Public Health Department, travel company audits).
Liaise with regulatory bodies for certifications and licensing (e.g., water treatment, sewage, wells, gas station).
Support HR training programs and orientation sessions.
Plan and arrange guest excursions as required.
Screen chemicals and hazardous materials to ensure employee safety.
Provide monthly reports analyzing environmental initiatives and progress.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Club Operations.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Management, or related field (preferred).
Minimum 3 years of experience managing environmental, occupational health, and safety programs.
Professional certifications in EHS, ISO, NEPA, HACCP or specialized training (required).
Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience managing environmental projects and implementing innovative sustainability strategies.
