The Students’ Loan Bureau (SLB) invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the following position:
Digital Media Officer (Level 7)
The Digital Media Officer is accountable for the effective and efficient use of digital channels for engaging potential clients while promoting the Bureau and its services in order that SLB achieves its Mission, Vision and Major Targets in a sustainable manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning
- Contribute to the development of the Marketing and Business Development Division's annual strategic planning process, resulting in the division's cascaded strategic plan and scorecard.
- Update, in conjunction with direct supervisor, own Job Accountability, ensuring alignment to the Bureau's cascaded strategic plan and scorecard.
- Develop, in conjunction with direct supervisor, own individual development plan arising from the performance review process.
Execution
- Engage potential clients and the general public through digital medium (such as the company’s website, emails and other third-party forum) to achieve client and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Prepare and disseminate digital marketing collateral preparation processes, ensuring it meets the marketing, education, engagement and conversion objectives.
- Creating, curating and scheduling content for all social media platforms and the SLB’s website.
- Developing multimedia content including images, videos, and infographics to be shared across various digital platforms.
- Manage the social media accounts of the SLB through content creation, responding to queries, monitoring analytics to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
- Monitoring social media channels for mentions, messages and feedback from followers to build and nurture the online community’s loyalty to the brand.
- Review comments, complaints and requests made on digital platforms, then respond and address appropriately, ensuring sender satisfaction and that the SLB and its services are well known to the target market and that marketing and brand building activities achieve desired objectives.
- Continually review the Bureau’s website and recommend any improvements to the Webmaster, ensuring that SLB’s image remain positive.
- Share any potential client information with the Business Development Team, ensuring client leads from digital platforms are acted upon.
- Develop and maintain strategic and meaningful relations and business alliances with marketing agencies, secondary and tertiary educational institutions and other key external stakeholders identifying opportunities to advance SLB’s capability to deliver on its strategic objectives.
- Plan, execute and optimize digital advertising campaigns across social media platforms.
- Identify and collaborate with influencers and brand ambassadors to expand brand messaging, reach new audiences, and increase engagement.
- Utilize analytics tools to track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) such as engagement metrics, website traffic, conversion rates, and ROI. Also, generate reports to assess the effectiveness of digital media efforts to facilitate data-driven decisions.
- Provide advice on digital marketing matters as requested.
Monitoring and Reporting
- Contribute to the preparation of the Marketing and Business Development monthly performance report in the scorecard format, then attend the monthly divisional strategy review meeting in discussing performance issues, ensuring there are diagnoses and corrective actions for any performance variances.

Qualifications and Experience
ü First Degree in Marketing, Management or equivalent.
ü Special training in Digital Marketing.
ü Three (3) years in a similar position.
Skills, Behaviours and Competencies Required
ü Understanding and working knowledge of Digital platforms
ü Understanding and working knowledge of GOJ’s accounting principles, practices, procedures and techniques.
ü Understanding and working knowledge of local marketing services industry.
ü Understanding and working knowledge of legal and regulatory framework of the SLB.
