Job Summary:
The International Distribution & Market Development Manager will be responsible for driving the expansion of our FMCG products into international markets, with a primary focus on Spanish-speaking countries. This role involves developing and executing strategic distribution and export plans, managing the full export process, establishing strong relationships with distributors and clients, and ensuring products reach market shelves efficiently. The role requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and extensive international sales expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Distribution & Market Expansion
- Develop and execute strategic distribution and export plans to expand market share in assigned territories.
- Oversee market entry assignments to ensure successful introduction of products into new regions.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitive activities, and potential business opportunities.
Export Operations & Compliance
- Manage the full export process, including documentation, logistics, and compliance with international trade regulations.
- Coordinate with supply chain, logistics partners, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
Client & Distributor Relationship Management
- Identify, develop, and maintain strong relationships with distributors, agents, and key clients in target markets.
- Negotiate and close international sales contracts, ensuring favorable terms aligned with company objectives.
- Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events to strengthen market presence.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor sales performance, prepare regular reports, and provide recommendations to optimize revenue and market penetration.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing and product teams to ensure alignment with market demand and promotional strategies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Marketing, or related field; Master’s degree is an asset.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in international sales, export markets, and market development.
- Proven track record of successfully managing export operations and achieving sales targets.
- Fluency in Spanish and Portuguese is required; proficiency in French is a strong asset.
- In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, documentation, and logistics.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel internationally as required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
