SALES AND CONVENTIONS MANAGER
The sales and conventions manager is responsible for developing and fostering business through proactive direct sales, marketing, direct mail, appointment calls, and tours of the hotel. He or she will develop strategic action plans for the hotel to drive measurable, incremental sales revenue.
Specific requirements/duties of the position include:
- Preparing departmental budget and staffing guide.
- Contributing to the development of sales and marketing plans.
- Actively fostering good working relationships with major travel organizations.
- Conducting training and workshop sessions with the members of the travel trade who visit the resort.
- Participating in trade shows and sales blitzes when required.
- Conducting revenue management meetings.
- Ensuring on-resort advertising and promotion captures cross-promotions of all revenue streams.
Qualifications and Experience:
- First Degree in Sales and Marketing or other relevant discipline
- Minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in a leadership position
- Excellent Customer service
- Proven sales record in a four- (4-) star resort
