Duties & Responsibilities: - Performs scheduled and/or unscheduled preventative or routine maintenance tasks as per work schedule or as assigned by Engineering Supervisors;
- Performs plumbing checks and repairs, including but not limited to unclogs sinks and toilets, repairs of taps and minor leaks, etc. as per schedule or as assigned;
- Performs carpentry checks and repairs, including but not limited to repair of office or shop doors, cupboard doors, locks, secures / replaces wooden floor boards / walls etc. as per schedule or as assigned;
- Performs minor repairs on walls, floors, drains (fills gaps, crevices, replaces loose tiles) and tiles;
- Properly prepares surfaces & repaints as per schedule or instructions: pipelines, equipment, equipment frames, pumps, tank exterior etc.
- Properly prepares surfaces & repaints as per schedule or instructions: Repair and/or repaint doors, windows, stairs, railings, walls, ceilings, roofs, beams and/or other parts of buildings.
- Performs minor repairs within and around the plant as per schedule or as assigned;
- Assists in the relocation of or removal of furniture/equipment/files and boxes as directed;
- Conducts routine inspection of office buildings/facilities/warehouse as well as immediate surroundings and prepares a report on any areas of concern (e.g. major infrastructural works) for the Engineering Supervisor or Manager;
- Prepares, updates & submits completed tasks/job sheets of activities and submits to the Engineering Supervisor;
- Develops and maintains a log of all parts and materials used and ensures sign off by supervisor & submits for records;
- Engages in proper housekeeping to ensure that all work areas are kept clean and safe;
- Secures all materials, equipment and tools in designated areas;
- Execute all tasks assigned by the Engineering Supervisors in a timely manner;
- Follow good manufacturing practice in the execution of maintenance activities.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
- Conform to and enforce all established departmental and company policies, procedures and objectives, GMPs, food safety and HSE site protocols.
- Immediately report any non-conformances relating to maintenance operations to the Engineering Supervisor.
- Perform other related tasks and responsibilities as required by the Engineering Manager and/or Supervisor.
- Undergo all job-related training required by the company.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience: - At least 5 CSEC / CXC subjects inclusive of English Language;
- Certificates in Plumbing, Masonry, Carpentry, Basic Electricals & AC Repairs;
- Experience in Painting, Plumbing, Masonry, Carpentry, Basic Electricals & AC Repairs;
- Ability to safely use common power and hand tools;
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a similar role;
- Physically fit, able to handle heavy loads (ability to safely lift 25kg unassisted)
- Good communication skills, both oral and written.
- Experience with performing repetitive and hands-on tasks;
