PURPOSE:
The purpose of this position is to adjudicate credit applications ensuring responsible
and effective credit management by assessing creditworthiness of applicants,
mitigating risks to support the growth and safeguard of the company’s credit portfolio.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
• Tertiary level education, preferably a degree in Finance or Business-related
fields.
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge of credit risk management and Consumer Loan policies
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards.
- Computer Literate and numerate
- Excellent (internal and external) Customer Service skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to make sound and impartial credit decisions.
- Strong Time Management Skills

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure that all applications approved comply with company’s credit policies,
procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain sound decisions based on throughout analysis of applications and risk.
• Verify applicants’ information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain adherence to assigned approval limits and within set service standards
level.
• Mitigate Risk by ensuring responsible adjudication of applications.
• Coaching and developing of salespersons to ensure quality booking of credit
applications and adherence to credit and compliance policies.
• Maintain a customer-centric approach in keeping with the expected standards of
the company.
• Communicate application outcomes to customers and branch team, providing clear
reasons for decisions (approval or rejections) as the need arises.
• Safeguard sensitive customer data and adhere to privacy(data) protection
regulations.
• Collaborate with Branch team by providing feedback and visiting sales meeting.
• Undertake special assignments as directed by the Senior Credit Supervisor.
