The Promotions Supervisor is responsible for managing the execution of Trade Promotions across all channels, overseeing the distribution of visibility materials in assigned areas, and designing special trade projects that will yield an increase in sales of trial products and already established products in the market.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
o In conjunction with Brand team, plan and manage ALL Trade promotions for all channels
o Create Weekly schedules of Promotional activity and escalate to TMM and Department heads for approval
o Liaise with the Sales Team on viable promotional opportunities, making recommendations where applicable.
o Work through Sales team as required for account level or community marketing initiatives; assess ROI of each promotion using sales, rep feedback, customer feedback and Whatsapp Bot and BA reporting
o Monitor and assess effectiveness of consumer promotions and Brand Ambassador activity via scheduled trade checks (and manage mystery shopper mechanism)
o Create and implement promotions related visibility brand standards in the trade and ensure that Look of Success merchandising (and related) metrics are 100% always met
o Recruitment and training of Brand Ambassadors in each geographic Region, inclusive of the maintenance of a log and monthly assessment
o Manage Special Channel initiatives e.g. Vendor Program and Community Sales
o Work with Trade Visibility Manager to co-ordinate booking of BAs for Trade audits and manage output
o Manage all Promotional activity: Sampling, Banding, Special Channel initiatives- Vendor program and Events
o PO and payment management and follow up for Promotional activity
o Manage and submit Payroll for Brand Ambassadors
Requirements:
- First Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3 years overall experience, two (2) of which should be at the Supervidory /Management Level
- People oriented and results driven with excellent interpersonal skills
- General computer and numeric proficiency
- Proven ability to deliver against defined objectives
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal with varying levels within the organization
- Strong knowledge of the industry and products
- Resourceful, flexible and adaptable with excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Professional and confident presence with customer-focused attitude
- Basic food hygiene, health and safety knowledge
- Possess a valid Food Handler’s permit
- Possession of a reliable motor vehicle is preferred (MUST)
