KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists with the installation of new equipment as directed by Manager/ SUpervisor
• Repairs and tests coolers when required to guarantee optimum use under guidance of Technician/Supervisor
• Completes and submits documentation for all installations accomplished
• Prepares the relevant documentation outlining faults repaired and submit to the Supervisor upon completion of job
• Trains customers in the use and upkeep of equipment
• Operates in a professional manner when repairing coolers/freezers at customers’ premises
• Be on on call as needed 
• Any other duty as may be assigned within the scope of the job

 JOB SPECIFICATION/COMPETENCIES [Minimum]

Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• NCTVET Level III Certification in Refrigeration from HEART or any other recognized technical institutions
• Minimum three (3 ) passes in CSEC including English A, Mathematics/Principles of Business and a technical subject with at least three (2) years’ experience in a refrigeration technician
• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal with the ability to communicate technical information effectively
• Basic/ extensive electrical training and troubleshooting experience
• Flexible and adaptable with high levels of integrity
• Excellent organization, analytical, problem-solving and time management skills
• Possess a General Driver’s License with minimum five (5) years’ experience operating vehicles over 3000KG
• Forklift operation experience required
• Must be 18 years and over
• Must have a valid ID, TRN & NIS
• Must be flexible to work Shifts, weekends and/or Public Holidays
