Wigton Energy Limited (Wigton) is looking for a driven and astute Accounting Clerk. The incumbent will support the Finance Team and report to the Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities
- Management of invoices, ensuring timely entries and payment of invoices
- Maintenance of customer/vendor balances
- Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying,
computing and recording accounts transactions
- Generate and deliver reports to the supervisor as needed
- Preparation and maintenance of audit schedules
- Preparation of monthly journal entries
- Assist in General Consumption Tax computation and filing
- Support supervisory and executive staff by performing any assigned accounting
tasks
- Perform any other accounting related duties assigned
Academic Qualification and Experience
- Associate Degree in Accounting/ACCA Level I
- Excellent customer orientation and negotiation skills
- Capable of working under pressure and using initiative
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Sound accounting software skills
Minimum Experience Requirements
- At least two (2) years’ related work experience preferred.
Specific Knowledge Required:
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications
- Accuracy
- Strong communications skills and the ability to develop professional
Business correspondence
- Good time management, decision-making, organizational skills and a team player
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, with great attention to detail
- High level of confidentiality is required
- High degree of competency in accounting software

Job Context
This position works normal office hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm) in a normal office environment, domiciled at Head Office Trafalgar Road.
