RELIEF HUMAN RESOURCE ASSISTANT
The Human Resource Assistant provides administrative support in the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource Department in the following areas:
Recruitment
- Prepares draft vacancy advertisements for final review by HR Manager
- Prepares and posts all job advertisements
- Facilitates the administration of the employee enrolment procedure and documentation.
- Prepares network, other equipment and software in preparation for employee’s start date.
- Schedules medical examinations for new employees and liaises with the Medical Practitioner as necessary.
- Assists with the planning and preparation for new employee orientation as assigned.
- Administers and monitors initiatives such as OJT, MUST, Vacation Internship Programme, and External Internship Programme.
Compensation & Benefits
- Administers the Easi Connect/Group Health Plan, advising of enrolment procedure, documentation and claim applications and decision.
- Liaises with the insurance provider on routine health plan matters and queries.
- Collates salary deductions and other adjustments for review by the HRM
- Verifies part time staff salary claim forms for processing
- Assists with completion of documentation for N.I. Registration and Claims for signature by Bursar
Records Management & Reporting

Essential Qualifications and Attributes
- Administrative Professional Secretaries Diploma or Association of Business Executives Certification Level 5 (equivalent to an Associate Degree).
- Certification in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations would be an asset.
- At least three (3) years’ experience in an HR environment.
- Knowledge of MicroPay – Time & Attendance
- Proficient in the use of MS Access Database – Leave Management
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to develop and maintain productive work relationships with all stakeholders
