JOB SUMMARY:                                                             

To provide an effective control of deliveries of goods to consignees by the efficient coordination of delivery route, while maintaining delivery cost at a minimal level.

 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in overseeing the processing of order, and loading of delivery vehicles as required
• Assist in the preparation, maintenance and management of delivery schedule and roster of delivery personnel
• Track deliveries from order inception, loading and dispatch and delivery through exception management
• Arrange for the proper dispatch of trucks for haulage of deliveries into the warehouse and to customer out of the warehouse.
• Ensure all deliveries are expeditiously dispatched to customers in the most effective and efficient manner while ensuring that delivery overheads are kept at a minimum
• Review, route and dispatch deliveries in the most effective manner
• Track and reports any problems, issues, and losses to respective authorities
• Assist with the documentation for products of specified suppliers to satisfy regulatory process for destruction.
• Assist with the preparation for the quarterly stock counts
• Liaise with the sales team on special loading instructions and resolving any problems that arise
• Checks-out all trucks with accurate BOL (Bill Of Lading), by checking counts and tags turned in along with PICK TICKET

 QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum five (5) CXCs including Math & English/ Diploma in Logistics, Inventory, Business Administration or related field.
• At least two (2) years working experience in Logistics or Warehouse Environment

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Proficient in MS Excel Access, MS Office suite and PowerPoint skills
• Must be meticulous with a keen attention to detail.
• Enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively
• Thorough knowledge of the 14 parishes
• Strong IT systems knowledge
• Experience in delivering results in a team environment
