REPORTING AND ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS                   

 Reports to :   Transport Manager

CORE FUNCTION

Responsible for assisting with the management, execution, direction and coordination of all transportation related matters. 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Ensure all company-owned vehicle documents are up-to-date and compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
• Complete and submit the Driver Route Schedule at the prescribed timelines. Ensure alteration to the Schedule is recorded.
• Maintain the drivers’ time off roster to include accurate recording of leave and absenteeism.
• Prepare and submit lunch and discomfort allowances to the accounts department.
• Document and submit payroll information to the human resourcesdepartment in a timely manner.
• Review invoices and receipts to verify the accuracy of information.
• Maintain travel and vehicle maintenance information log.
• Assist the Department Head with resolving any company-owned vehicle maintenance issues.
• Dispatch drivers to their assigned destinations.
• Examine vehicles for cleanliness and assist in ensuring the safe handling of products to be delivered to assigned destinations.
• Assist in stock-taking activities.
• Escalate any observed and/or reported breaches of the Company Motor
• Vehicle Policy to the Department Head.
• Assist in the transportation of employees to the workplace or any other driving need whennecessary.
• Assist the Department Head in organising and holding staff meetings.
• Perform any other related duties assigned.
  
  
  
  

  EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of Five (5) CXC subjects including Mathematics and English Language or passing of equivalency test

• A minimum of a Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent or BSc. In Logistic Management or a similar field

• A valid driver's license

• A current Food Haandler's Permit
