Accounts Payable Officer

We are a fast-moving medium-sized Distribution and Processing Company seeking to identify a suitably qualified individual for the position Accounts Payable Officer for our Kingston location: 

Key Functions:

• Ensures local supplier invoices are properly approved and paid on a schedule.

• Maintain proper and accurate local supplier’s accounts.
• Liaises with concerned parties on matters relating to local accounts payable.
• Prepare supplier reconciliation as may deem necessary.
• Prepare assigned expense schedules, investigate and report on deviations.
• Ensure general ledger control accounts payable reconciles to Accounts payable sub-ledger monthly.
• Determine the unbooked expenses at  the end of the month end and prepare accruals with support for these entries.

Minimum Requirement & Competencies:

• At least 3 years’ experience in accounts.
• CAT level 111 /AAT level 111 / Associate degree / ACCA level 1
• Good Oral and written communication skills
• Computer literate, with sound knowledge in word processing, spreadsheets
• High degree of integrity, confidentiality, and high level of initiative
