Trailer Truck DRIVER

The successful candidate will be responsible for daily supervising the loading and unloading of goods and ensure transfers and deliveries to predetermined locations and customers are done in a timely, safely and professional manner to maximize client satisfaction.

Other duties/responsibilities includes but not limited to:

• Transports loads safely between locations over required route observing all safety regulations
• Operates 10 & 12 wheeler trucks (freightliner and box body) according to established regulations
• Supervises the loading and unloading of goods from vehicle in accordance with established safety regulations and company standards to prevent damages and within weight limits 
• Maintains signed delivery invoices, delivery documentations or  other required paper work
• Arrange trailers in environment for optimum loading patterns
• Maintain trip logs where required
• The safety, general care and maintenance of assigned vehicle.
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Adjust easily to last minute changes.
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when required.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Delivery Assistants/Warehouse Attendants assigned
• In charge goods to be delivered between locations
• Monitoring of vehicle documents, equipment and documentations.

Qualifications, Experiences & Skillsets required

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with ability to speak professionally and courteously with all customers and staff at delivery points
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the distribution of goods
•  Mechanical skill and experience will be a distinct advantage
• The ability maneuver trailer in narrow drive path  and docking area
• Be over 35 years’ of age and possess ability to remain focused in a busy environment
• Applicable  driver’s license (s) appropriate for weight of vehicle (s) to be operated
• Extensive experience in driving a trailer
• Good geographic knowledge of the island
