DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Coordinates with all relevant Company personnel, including but not limited to the Retail Buyer, Senior Category Purchasing Manager and Warehouse Manager, all third-party relations associated with inbound logistics operations, by liaising with customs brokers; insurance brokers; freight forwarders; and all relevant internal personnel, including the Category Management team.
- Coordinates and continuously monitors all foreign shipments from Suppliers to the Company’s Warehouse, throughout all stages of transit, in an efficient manner.
- Provides all information required for shipments to custom brokers.
- Provides all necessary information to buyers as it pertains to shipments.
- Coordinates vendor samples with buyers.
- Meets with freight agents as required.
- Confirms purchase orders with buyers and vendors, and issues shipping instructions.
- Prepare status reports, monthly freight analysis reports as required and submits to the relevant Company personnel, including but not limited to the Category Management team.
- Liaise with the accounts payable team regarding all payments to Logistics associated vendors as required.
- Continuously seeks opportunities for improving the current processes within Warehouse and Logistics operations, including but not limited to, providing on-going analysis of costs in related areas and sourcing alternative service providers.
- Preparation of landed cost calculations for imported products to be submitted to the Category Management team.
- Review of Aging PBI report and provide recommendations for inventory depletion of SLOB’s to Retail Buyer & Category Management team.
- Audit replenishment process for both DSD and transfers and makes recommendations for improvement
- Provides general administrative support to the department as required.
- Provides exceptional customer service to internal and external customers daily.
- Performs any other related duties as assigned by Management.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS |
- Diploma in Business Management, or Business Administration.
- Professional Certification in the field of Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED |
- Three (3) years’ experience in a similar role would be considered an asset.

- Sound knowledge of the principles of logistics and warehouse management
- Familiar with local customs practices/procedures/policies and regulations.
