Reporting to the Human Resources Manager – JSE, the successful candidate will assist the Human Resources Manager in the achievement of the organization's human capital, satisfaction and culture by promoting a positive work environment that encourages employee productivity and creativity, ensuring effective and efficient recruitment programmes and performance management systems, in keeping with the strategic alignment of the of the JSE and its subsidiaries.
The responsibilities of the Human Resources Officer include (but are not limited to):
- Assist in creating individual Development Plans for team members, following the designated performance measurement
- Supervise Office Services Team
- Assist in monitoring the planning and management of the property portfolio, ensuring a conducive working environment and that all relevant infrastructure and office furniture/equipment etc. are in good working order to ensure safety of all team members.
- Annually updating individual job accountabilities and KPIs for all team members with the HRD to ensure alignment with the Department’s and the Company’s strategic objectives
- Assist in conducting compensation surveys and reviews within the Industry.
- Constantly assess the staffing requirements in conjunction with the HR Manager to support the organization’s strategic objectives.
- Assist in the preparation of Job Descriptions by liaising with Department Heads in analyzing the skills and qualities required for each position.
- Assist in the recruitment exercise in ensuring that appropriate candidates are selected in keeping with the organization’s objectives and recruitment process
- Assist in conducting training needs analysis by developing and implementing training plan in conjunction with the HR Manager
- Assist in ensuring that the Organization’s Corporate Social Responsibility is maintained by social programmes to foster bonding within the community and its environs.
- Assist in the preparation of the HRD’s budget
- Support employee engagement initiatives, such as organizing team-building events, employee recognition programmes feedback mechanisms.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent
- Minimum of three years post qualification experience in human resource management.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- Sound knowledge of Industrial Relations and Labour laws.
- Sound knowledge of Human Resource Management practices
- Knowledge of Property Management
- Knowledge of the operations of the JSE Group
