About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Shipping CSR to join our dynamic Commercial team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in streamlining our shipping documentation and operations and will work closely with cross-functional teams, including the commercial team, to maintain service continuity and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review shipping documentation including Bill of Lading (Imports/Exports)
- Ensure accurate and timely AES filings for US Customs for US cargo
- Liaise with customers to ensure smooth cargo movement
- Create and update CARICOM and ASYCUDA entries
- Track shipments and resolve any issues related to delays, documentation, or customs clearance
- Maintain shipping records and generate reports for internal audits
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and transactions
Customer Service & Interaction
- Handle customer communications (calls, emails, chats) professionally and promptly.
- Route queries to appropriate sales personnel.
- Ensure timely resolution of complaints with the commercial team.
Team Collaboration
- Work with internal teams to ensure quality service.
- Participate in meetings, training, and goal-setting activities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in shipping/logistics coordination
- Strong working knowledge of Bills of Lading, CARICOM, ASYCUDA, and AES filings
- Familiarity with freight forwarding and shipping procedures
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software
- Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
