Position Title: Bookkeeper / Data Entry Clerk

Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper / Data Entry Clerk to support our Finance team with accurate financial recordkeeping and data management. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, has a strong grasp of accounting fundamentals, and enjoys working with numbers and systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting day-to-day accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter financial transactions into accounting systems with speed and accuracy.
- Maintain and update general ledger accounts, ensuring proper coding and classification.
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable processing, including invoice matching and payment tracking.
- Reconcile vendor statements and customer accounts.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Organize and maintain financial records, ensuring completeness and audit readiness.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries for internal use.
- Document and improve data entry and bookkeeping procedures to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial data flow.
Qualifications and Experience
Education & Experience:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in bookkeeping or data entry within a finance or accounting environment.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, filters, and basic functions).
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and general ledger structure.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
