The Director of Finance is a senior executive leader responsible for all financial operations, reporting, and strategic planning for JBIC and its homeowners. Leading Accounting and Purchasing Departments, this role partners closely with the Resort’s accounting team and external parties to ensure financial stability and growth.
The ideal candidate has strong finance experience, excels in developing financial systems, and is a proactive strategist with excellent multitasking and prioritization skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting functions: accounts receivable/payable, payroll, general ledger, and reporting with strong internal controls.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, monthly closings and forecasts, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Deliver clear financial statements and reports to senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Lead investment decision-making, financial modeling, and risk management.
- Manage regulatory compliance, contracts, audits, and insurance.
- Oversee procurement operations and collaborate cross-functionally for best practices.
- Handle banking, cash management, foreign currency transactions.
- Manage homeowner billing, property tax, and financial communications.
- Lead and develop finance and purchasing teams through training and performance management.
- Ensure health, safety, and security compliance within the departments.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years senior financial management in multi-department/division operation.
- Proven leadership managing teams of 10+ staff.
- Skilled in budgeting, financial analysis, staff restructuring, and risk mitigation.
- Advance Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Proficiency with Intacct/Sage is desirable; experience with an ERP system required.
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
- Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or other relevant professional certifications are advantageous and highly desirable but not mandatory.
