Guyana Beverages Inc. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Officer to support the day-to-day operations of the HR department. This role will be responsible for coordinating HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, training support, and compliance with company policies and employment laws. The HR Officer will play a key role in ensuring smooth HR processes and fostering a positive employee experience.
Job Description:
Recruitment & Onboarding – Assist with job postings, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and supporting the onboarding process to ensure smooth integration of new hires.
HR Administration – Maintain accurate employee records, prepare HR reports, and support payroll and benefits administration.
Employee Relations – Provide guidance to employees on HR policies, assist with grievance handling, and help promote a positive workplace culture.
Training & Development Support – Coordinate logistics for training sessions and track employee participation in development initiatives.
Compliance & Policy – Ensure adherence to company policies and local labor laws, and assist with updating HR procedures when needed.
Performance & Leave Management – Support the performance review process, track attendance and leave records, and assist supervisors with related queries.
HR Projects – Participate in HR initiatives and projects aimed at improving efficiency and employee engagement.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
HR certification (such as SHRM-CP or equivalent) will be an asset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
2–3 years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist or officer role.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
