Position Title: Beauty Associate

POSITION PURPOSE: 

The beauty associate responsibilities include consulting with clients to determine their beauty and personal care needs, assisting with stock maintenance and management, makeup foundation testing, suggesting products that meet clients’ needs and informing customers about product details, like ingredients, application methods and price. 

The incumbent must be customer-service oriented and have some knowledge of beauty products. A professional, positive, and calm demeanor is essential in managing the fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

• Greet customers entering the store.
• Ensure the store is neat, clean and organized throughout each business day.
• Provide product knowledge to customers through the features, values and benefits of each product.
• Maintain sufficient stock within the beauty and personal care departments
• Ensure products are located in the correct aisle.
• Ensure shelves are packed neatly
• Check for expiry dates on goods and ensure they are priced correctly.
• Assist customers in finding goods.
• Introduce new goods and services to customers.
• Upsell and cross sell beauty products to customers
• Ensure that items purchased are in good condition before it leaves the store.
• Assist in transporting goods from warehouse to the floor
• Ensure shelves are wiped and restocked.
• Inform customers of upcoming sales.
• Complete basic skincare consultations
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of beauty trends, skincare products, and cosmetics.
• Assist customers to retrieve items from the fragrance displays. 

EXPERIENCE; EDUCATION OR CERTIFICATION

• High School Diploma / School Leaving Certificate
• At least 5 CXC’s inclusive of Mathematics and English Language.
• Must have at least One (1) year experience in sales in a retail environment.
