Key Responsibilities:
Leading the Team
- Provide clear direction to staff, setting expectations and offering regular feedback.
- Manage shift coverage, adjust schedules, and arrange replacements to maintain daily efficiency.
- Coach and develop team members, conduct performance check-ins, and address workplace issues in partnership with HR.
Keeping Operations on Track
- Oversee dispatch, load preparation, and delivery cycles, ensuring every job is completed accurately and on time.
- Coordinate warehouse activities with routing and scheduling plans to maximize resources.
- Monitor workflows and quickly address any deviations from standard procedures.
Building Strong Connections
- Act as the primary link between internal teams, clients, and external partners for operational matters.
- Visit customer sites to investigate service concerns and implement solutions.
- Contribute insights to strengthen service agreements and operational standards.
Driving Safety & Compliance
- Promote a safe working environment, making sure all policies and regulations are met.
- Ensure all staff are trained and aware of health and safety requirements.
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare reports on performance, productivity, and resource usage.
- Manage administrative matters related to compensation, attendance, and operational records.
- Take on other responsibilities as directed by management.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Management, or related field; OR certification in Supervisory Management with 3–5 years in a warehouse or distribution leadership role.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- A collaborative, customer-focused approach and excellent communication skills.
