Lift Tec Limited is seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic / Forklift Operator to diagnose, service, and repair a wide range of industrial and construction equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated technician who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about keeping equipment operating at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
Conduct engine overhauls, brake repairs, and transmission and electrical diagnostics.
Maintain accurate service records, including parts usage and repair reports.
Test equipment after repairs to ensure optimal performance.
Respond to emergency breakdowns both on-site and in the field.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and equipment operators regarding repair timelines and equipment status.
Adhere strictly to safety protocols and company policies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or technical certification in diesel mechanics or related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in heavy-duty equipment repair.
Proficient in reading schematics and using diagnostic tools.
Strong understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems.
Ability to lift heavy parts and work in physically demanding environments.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to drive a standard (manual) vehicle.
Must be able to operate a forklift.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and time management.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification from a recognized trade school or apprenticeship program.
Experience with equipment brands such as Hyster, JCB, SANY, or Crown.
Welding and fabrication skills.
Familiarity with computerized maintenance systems (CMMS).
