The Tryall Club is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee the procurement process, manage supplier relationships, coordinate imports and customs clearance, and ensure cost-effective purchasing in line with our quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a proven track record in purchasing and logistics management.
Key Responsibilities
Source, negotiate, and secure the best value in quality, price, delivery, and service.
Coordinate importation and customs clearance of goods for the Club and homeowners.
Maintain supplier relationships, service agreements, and purchasing policies.
Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with Club policies.
Oversee inventory records, pricing data, and vendor performance.
Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal departments.
Support budget forecasting, cost control, and cost-saving initiatives.
Manage procurement activities, including bids and requests for proposals (RFPs).
Supervise, train, and evaluate purchasing department staff.
Requirements
Diploma/Degree in Accounting, AAT Level II/III, or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in purchasing, logistics, or related field.
Knowledge of the Customs Act and industry purchasing standards.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage and motivate a team.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and relevant accounting software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexible, adaptable, and able to work independently.
