Sales Assistant
Role Overview
As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a hazard-free environment while providing top-notch service to customers. Your goal will be to understand their needs and offer the best solutions for their vehicular issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional and timely service to customers while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist with both front and back-end operations to identify the best parts solutions for customer needs, while recommending additional items available in-store.
- Foster strong customer relationships by keeping them informed about available and upcoming specials and promotions.
- Stay up to date on new product introductions and expand your automotive knowledge.
- Provide customers with accurate quotations upon request.
- Follow up promptly with customers on back-ordered items and communicate any changes in delivery dates or availability.
- Participate in annual stocktaking and contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of three CSEC subjects, including Math and English.
- 1-3 years of experience in the industry.
- Knowledge of car parts and accessories is a plus.
- City & Guilds qualification in Motor Vehicle Engineering is an asset.
- Exceptional verbal communication skills, both in person and over the phone.
- Strong command of the English language.
- High level of computer literacy.
Working Conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally more with assistive devices.
- Ability to stand and/or bend for extended periods in a warehouse environment.
