Inventory Assistant
Role Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Assistant to support a range of inventory management tasks while contributing to a safe and organized warehouse environment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of logistics in the automotive sector.
Duties and Responsibilities
The role includes but is not limited to:
- Receive delivery of orders with careful and timely verification of information on associated packing slips and purchase orders to confirm accuracy of shipments.
- Unpack, sort, count, package, and label inbound inventory.
- Inspect shipments for damage, loss, or defects and report to the inventory supervisor as needed.
- Assist with monitoring inventory levels and report low stock items for daily replenishment.
- Replenish inventory on a daily basis to ensure stock availability.
- Assist with preparations and participate in the annual stock count.
- Appropriately move, stack, and store goods to ensure walkways remain clear and all safety standards are met.
- Assist with warehouse organization and maintaining cleanliness of the storeroom.
- Keep current on new products and product updates.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Experience working with inventory management software.
- 1–3 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Exceptional analytical, logistics and organizational skills.
- Strong command of the English Language.
- Strong computer literacy.
- Knowledge of data analysis.
Working Conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally more with assistive devices.
- Ability to stand and/or bend for extended periods in a warehouse environment.
