A major dealer in the Automotive Industry is looking for suitably qualified persons to fill the vacant position of Quality Control Specialist in its Service Department. The successful candidate will have primary responsibility for ensuring vehicle services meet the quality, efficiency and safety standard as per the company and manufacturers’ specifications.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
- Associate degree in Automotive Technology with 2 years’ experience in a similar capacity OR
- Level III certificate in Automotive Repairs or related area with 3 years’ experience in similar capacity
- 1 year supervisory level experience
- Valid driver’s license.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE
- Working Knowledge of automotive mechanics.
- Knowledge of current trends in automotive industry.
- Knowledge of latest customer service techniques and methods.
- Working knowledge of CDK software would be an asset.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, execute, and oversee inspection and testing of incoming and outgoing vehicles and confirm quality conformance to specifications and quality deliverables
- Properly document quality control activities for internal reporting
- Identify (in conjunction with the brand supervisors) training needs and take action to ensure company-wide compliance
- Maintain a proper log of post service complaints and ensure timely report of recurring issues to management.
- Validate/inspect completeness of deliverables associated with each service
- Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of vehicle requirements and the corrective actions necessary to resolve reported issues.
- Ensure that repair processes comply with local and international standards
- Collaborate with technicians, supervisors and other team members to ensure quality before delivery.
- Provide constructive feedback; recommend resolution where necessary
- Assess customer (internal and external) requirements and ensuring that these are met.
