Job Functions
- Check the equipment or machines and the wine cellar of the bars.
- Coordinate in the occasion of events for which the service of the bar area is required.
- Follow up the requests of fruit previously made by email.
- Raise orders from bars by means of an inventory.
- Keep track of temperatures for compliance with regulations.
- Organize and direct the team members and assign tasks by shift.
- Provide the keys to each bar to the bar manager.
- Carry out the inventory of earthenware, equipment, table linens for events, pool towels and fire extinguishers.
- Carry out the briefing with the team members about the occupation of the hotel, guest service, cleaning, compliance with procedures, assignment of work areas of the staff on duty and general matters.
- Take tours of the bars to verify their operation.
- Hold briefings containing the issues discussed in meetings, which serves as evidence of its realization and is sent to the quality department.
- Report any damages, malfunctions, or failures in machines/equipment to be reviewed, this based on a fault control in the log of external suppliers.
- Check the bar checklists.
- Review the briefing orders made one day before (requests for rooms) by Public Relations, this is done by the night supervisor.
- Request to laundry by email, addressed to the head of laundry, in regards to the tablecloths for the scheduled events.
- Constantly supervise the personnel under his charge.
- Supervise the operation of the bars and the staff.
- Monitor the rooms that have been requested verifying that everything works correctly.
- Take various courses provided by the hotel or the government, focused on different areas such as first aid, success in service, complaint handling, etc.
- Take the temperatures (digital thermometer) of all refrigerators and products in accordance with the standards.
- Check the cleanliness of the bars and the condition of the products.
- Verify the bars that are inside the buffet and theme restaurants to check the service that is being provided, if there are missing products, etc.
- Verify that the knowledge of the h badge is applied.
Qualifications and Skills
- 1 to 2 years as an assistant or supervisor of bars in hotels of a similar category.
- Knowledge of the work, environmental and hygiene policies and computer science (Office).
