TATECO ARIMA Credit Union is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of:

LOANS OFFICER

Position Summary

The Loans Officer plays a key role in delivering high-quality lending services to members of the Credit Union. Th individual is responsible for evaluating, processing and servicing a variety of loan applications in accordance with the credit union’s policies and regulatory guidelines. He /she also provides financial guidance to members and promotes responsible borrowing.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelors’ degree in either Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Banking & Finance or any equivalent combination of experience and qualifications
• Minimum of 2-3 years’ working experience preferably in a Credit Union or financial institution
• Working knowledge of loan underwriting, credit analysis and regulatory compliance
• Proficiency in loan management systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Interview members and assess their credit needs for personal or other loan products.
• Analyze loan applications, credit reports and financial information to determine member eligibility.
• Educate members about loan terms, interest rates, payment plans and financial responsibilities.
• Ensure all loans are processed and documented in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain on-going communication with members throughout the loan process to provide updates and address any queries.
• Actively promote the Credit Union’s products and services, cross selling accordingly.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and assist in the collection process.
• Prepare and maintain accurate loan files and records
• Stay informed of market trends, lending regulations and industry best practices

Working Conditions

• Office environment with regular member interaction.
• May require occasional local travel for membership outreach.
• Standard business hours with occasional evening or weekend availability for community / member events.
