MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Analyse problems, evaluate alternatives and implement appropriate solutions.
- Design/create detailed specifications, flow charts and technology solutions.
- Design, develop and execute solutions, prepare and use appropriate test data and develop/amend procedures in accordance with unit and system testing standards.
- Keep abreast of current products and technological developments in the software industry, and of new developments in programming techniques through attending training courses and reading current literature.
- Make recommendations for improvement in functions and services offered to user departments; and for optimization of Application Performance.
- Liaise with Business User Support Services and User Departments for understanding and communicating system requirements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- A first degree in Computer Science from a recognised tertiary institution plus at least three (3) years working experience in programming.
- Extensive programming experience with ASP.Net MVC, XML , HTML ,CSS
- Must be able to understand, write , optimize and test complex database (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL or MySQL) programs (stored procedures, functions, triggers)
- Ability to write complex SQL queries to generate reports
- Understanding of ETL tools like SSIS
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to meet tight deadlines
