Loading Bay/Tank Farm Operator

The Job of the Loading Bay/Tank Farm Operator is to facilitate the efficient and safe movement of Bulk LPG into storage and out of storage tanks. The job requires diligence, care and attentiveness to a multiplicity of task which the job holder must execute consistently to exacting operational and safety standards.

    Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Executing and monitoring the process for the receiving and offloading of product delivered.
• Designating, monitoring and assessing the tanks from product is to be delivered, stored and dispensed.
• Completing documentation related to the transfer and delivery processes.
• Breaking seals, opening valves and making connection between tank and delivery truck.
• Continuous monitoring of product movement by observing meter readings.
• Continuously monitor tank farm environment to ensure the absence of any unsafe condition and the maintenance of good housekeeping practices.

Qualifications, Experience and Profile:

• Secondary level education; minimum of 4 subjects including Mathematics and English
• Five years’ experience in an industrial environment
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Detailed oriented
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
