BACKGROUND
The Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. in its quest to promote, assist and facilitate the efficient development of tourism and Barbados’ tourism product, is seeking to recruit exceptionally skilled persons to fill the positions of Customer Experience Officers.
SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the main point of contact for all customer inquiries, requests, and concerns, ensuring timely and professional responses.
- Welcome and direct arriving guests, ensuring a seamless arrival experience.
- Provide meet-and-greet services for VIP guests and other special arrivals.
- Arrange hotel accommodations and support other guest-related logistics.
- Collaborate with immigration, customs and tourism partners within the airport environment to assist guests and ensure smooth operations.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve customer issues effectively and efficiently.
- Monitor customer feedback and prepare reports and presentations to support continuous service improvements.
- Proactively evaluate and enhance the overall customer experience.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, ensuring personalized service that meets their expectations.
- Identify and act on opportunities to upsell or cross-sell services based on customer preferences.
SUMMARY OF KEY REQUIREMENTS
- At least five subjects at CSEC General Proficiency level or similar, including English Language.
- Previous experience in a related field would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of at least one foreign language would be an asset.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
- Intimate knowledge of Barbados’ accommodation and attraction products.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)
