As a Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in various settings, including residential, commercial, and industrial environments. This role involves working with a variety of tools, equipment, and materials to ensure the proper functioning of water and drainage systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances, in accordance with established codes and standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine the layout and configuration of plumbing systems.
- Cut, thread, and assemble pipes using a variety of tools such as pipe cutters, pipe benders, and welding equipment.
- Install and repair piping systems for water, gas, and sewage.
- Install and repair fixtures such as sinks, toilets, faucets, and water heaters.
- Ensure proper functioning of all plumbing fixtures and appliances.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues, including leaks, blockages, and malfunctions.
- Implement effective and efficient solutions to resolve plumbing problems.
- Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent issues and prolong the lifespan of components.
- Perform inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs or upgrades.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, contractors, and clients to coordinate plumbing installations within larger construction projects.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain repairs, provide cost estimates, and address any concerns.
- Provide emergency repair services, such as fixing burst pipes or addressing sewage backups.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience as a plumber
- Valid Plumbing Certification
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
