REGIONAL HUMAN RESOURCES
The regional human resources manager is responsible for leading and supporting the execution of human resource strategies across multiple properties in the Northern Caribbean region and Curacao. This role ensures alignment with organizational goals while driving talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, compliance, performance management, and culture-building initiatives. The role also involves regional travel and close collaboration with property-level HR teams and corporate HR leadership.
Specific requirements/duties of the position include:
- Overseeing recruitment for resort senior leadership roles
- Acting as a mediator for complex employee relations cases
- Reviewing and monitoring employee satisfaction surveys
- Providing guidance on performance management cases
- Ensuring regional salary benchmarks align with market standards.
- Conducting pay equity analysis
- Providing support for payroll compliance audits
- Conducting regional human resources audits
- Working with legal teams on labour law changes and updating policies
- Overseeing adherence to work permits and expatriate policies
- Supporting resorts with human resources system training and troubleshooting
- Monitoring HR analytics to track hiring, turnover, and performance trends
- Ensuring human resources teams comply with data privacy laws
- Leading organisational efforts to change and support properties through opening and/or restructuring
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business administration, or related field (master’s degree preferred)
- Professional human resource certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD, PHR/SPHR) is an asset
- Minimum 8 years of progressive human resources experience, including at least 3 years in a multi-site or regional management role
- Experience working in hospitality, tourism, or similar service-based industries is preferred.
- Solid understanding of labour laws in the Northern Caribbean region and Curacao with ability to manage cross-jurisdictional compliance
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and management skills
- Ability to travel frequently across the region
